Canon has the details to the much anticipated 1D Mk IV up on its website tonight. Some seriously high specs include:
45 point AF (39 cross-type points)
10 fps continuous shooting
APS-H Sensor (1.6 crop factor)
16.1 MP
and here’s the wild stuff:
iso range: 100-12800 (up to 102400 in h3 mode)
HD Video
24/25/30 fps
Not to cheap at a retail price of $4999 but an awesome camera to say the least.
Specs posted on the Canon Website, and Vincent Laforet has released a short film showcasing the camera shooting at ISO 6400 that looks wonderful. The film is at 24 fps.
On a related note, the 5D mk ii will get a firmware upgrade in the next few months according to Canon to allow 24 and 25 fps. See the press release.
